Grand Turk at Osprey Beach Hotel February 15-22, 2025

The Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory located in the eastern Caribbean, southeast of the Bahamas. The islands consist of 40 islands and cays, with only eight of them inhabited. Grand Turk is home to Cockburn Town, the capital of Turks and Caicos. Although Grand Turk is home to the capital, Providenciales is the most populous island.

Turks and Caicos is a popular destination for tourists who are attracted to its crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches and excellent diving and snorkeling opportunities. Some of the most popular activities in the Turks and Caicos include exploring the islands’ pristine beaches, snorkeling in the world-famous coral reefs and enjoying water sports such as kayaking, paddleboarding and jet skiing.

The islands’ natural beauty and laid-back lifestyle make it a top destination for travelers seeking relaxation and adventure in the Caribbean.

The Turks and Caicos Islands are surrounded by clear, turquoise waters home to vast coral reef ecosystems. The coral reef ecosystems are protected, creating thriving reefs making it great for divers and snorkelers to enjoy. Turks and Caicos is known for its amazing wall diving, with walls reaching down thousands of feet deep.

There is something for everyone, with calm conditions, reefs, walls, wrecks, tropical fish and thriving reefs. It’s a bucket list dive destination.

Conservation Efforts

The Turks and Caicos Islands are working to develop and implement more conservation efforts to protect their stunning natural environment. One organization, the Turks and Caicos Reef Fund, is a nonprofit organization that helps with preserving the marine environment through conservation work, education and installing mooring systems for boats. The Turks and Caicos Reef Fund has also been a leader in monitoring and treating stony coral tissue loss disease (SCTLD).
